I am a working mum and I spend my days juggling childcare, swimming lessons and screaming babies with board reports, budgets and internal audits. In my “free time” I like to write short stories and to voice my opinions on the oddities of life. With no other grand plan on what to blog about, I have decided to base my blog on this.
Wow! This is how I started my blog back in August 2011. It is a quote from my first blog post, To Blog or not to Blog?
Nearly two years on and so much has changed…. and so much hasn’t! I still spend my days juggling work and parenting. However I packed in my office job and now work from home as a freelance instructional designer. I love the flexibility that working from home offers.
This year I have gone back to school. I am completing a Masters in Education at Monash University. I hope to develop resources that inspire creativity and self-expression in gifted children. I want to work with the creatively gifted to give opportunities for them to connect and expand their creative thinking. I have started another blog that focuses on my education journey, http://elissaturner.wordpress.com/.
This blog is dedicated to my passion for photography, art and rambling. It is my place to express and to vent. It is a blog of experimentation where I can try out different formats and ideas as I try to decide who I am and where I am going.
Thank you for sharing my journey!
