Weekly Photo Challenge: Fleeting Moments

Recently my family and I decided to go for a walk along Lygon St. For those of you not familiar with Melbourne, Lygon St is one of our more prominent streets. It is famous for its many restaurants, mostly Italian. It also has quite an interesting array of shops and an unmistakable culture.

On the day of our walk it was the first break in the rain for some time. While the skies were finally dry, the pavement certainly wasn’t. My boys, clad in their gumboots, jumped in every puddle they found down the urban street.

In the middle of the street is a small park. It is a small oasis from the busy urban landscape.

My boys just went crazy. They ran and jumped and played in the autumn leaves. I didn’t think they would ever want to go home.

This is my fleeting moment. I just love these moments when a child’s play breaks up the chaos of adult life.

    1. It’s nice to think that it can feel familiar all that way away…. Funny how some places just have that, even if they are at the other end of the earth. Glad you like the shots.
